On December 11, a christening and launching ceremony was held at the Remontowa Shipbuilding shipyard in Gdańsk for the sixth Kormoran II-class minehunter, the future ORP Czajka (606).
This vessel, like the previous ships in this series, is designed to search for, identify, and combat sea mines. Their operations will cover the Polish economic zone and missions in tactical groups in the Baltic and North Seas, as part of NATO and EU ship teams.
These ships are 58.5 meters long and have a full displacement of 900 tons. The crew consists of 45 people. They reach a speed of 15 knots and have a range of 2,500 nautical miles.
Our company has had the honor of participating in this project from the very beginning, supplying hydraulic systems and deck equipment. The hydraulic drives of these ships are supervised by the Polish Register of Shipping.
We would like to thank our partners for the opportunity to participate in this project, which is so important for the Polish Armed Forces and the shipbuilding industry.
