For the aluminum plant Gränges Konin S.A. we performed the assembly of the WZ-5 cold rolling mill. The Service Department of our company was responsible for managing the whole team of subcontractors (fitters, pipefitters, electricians, mechanics, welders, automation technicians, geodesists, locksmiths) who performed the following works, among others:
– assembly of devices, units and accessories of the cold rolling mill WZ-5 (including assembly of rolling mill stands of 175 t each),
– construction and assembly of pipelines and columns,
– construction and assembly of high pressure and low pressure hydraulic systems, pneumatics and lubrication,
– construction and assembly of the circulating cooling water system,
– construction and assembly of CO2 extinguishing system and CO2 detection system,
– foundation and connection of transformers, motors, power supply and control cabinets, operator panels, junction boxes and other equipment.
This project was carried out successfully thanks to very good cooperation with the customer – Gränges Konin S.A., as well as with the rolling mill supplier – Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG – and also with our subcontractors. We also greatly appreciate the commitment of our Service Department employees.
The WZ-5 cold rolling mill at the Gränges Konin S.A. aluminum plant is one of the largest projects in Europe. It is an international project with a high level of innovation.
