We would like to inform you about the successful completion of the next stage of the Stągiewny Bridge construction. On the last day of February, we participated in the successful acceptance tests of the bridge with the participation of the Investor.
As part of the completed project, our company supplied and installed the drawbridge drive of the Stągiewny Bridge along with industrial automation. We also equipped the bridge area, in partnership with Electro Ship Service, with CCTV/DSiO/PA system (cameras, recording equipment, loudspeakers) and ship’s emergency alarm signals.
The reconstruction of the Stągiewny Bridge was carried out by Granaria as part of a public-private partnership. The design of the new bridge was created in the design office Europrojekt Gdańsk S. A., and Vistal Gdynia S. A. was the contractor of the span.The new drawbridge’s style is reminiscent of the Schwedler Bridge, which connected the banks of Motława between 1883 and 1926.

It might be interesting to note that the Stągiewny Bridge was launched fifty years after it was rebuilt in 1973 into a permanent structure, not a drawbridge.
